A recent update to Outlook has broken some installations of ChimpySync.

The issue is associated with a recent Outlook update – aimed at managing DPI/Scaling issues. There is not much information about what has changed or when it has been released, but it seems to be in late August that customers first found the problem.

The latest version of ChimpySync includes a fix for this issue. If you are using ChimpySync (our latest plugin) you can download the latest version here:


If you are still using the older version of MailChimp Sync, or you do not want to update, there is a workaround.

In Outlook 2016  go to:File >> Options >> General >> select the ‘Optimize for compatibility’ option – and restart Outlook.

That should fix the issue.
